Adapting to Rapid Changes in Business
Several senior business leaders across several industries, banking, insurance, education, transport and government, participated in an Australian roundtable to discuss how digital technology is changing the way organisations operate. The leaders discussed how the implementation of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and data systems enables organisations to be more innovative and adaptable, whilst also ensuring they are more secure.
Real-world examples were provided by each leader demonstrating how collaboration and innovation enable organisations to adapt to the rapid changes occurring in the business environment and remain at the forefront of these changes.
Attendees include:
A Taste of Turkish Culture Meets Networking
Melih Karaduman from “The Forty Years Coffee Company” also brought the additional cultural and entertaining activity of Turkish coffee tasting & fortune telling to our guests. The coffee tasting & fortune telling experience provided a unique cultural component to the event, relating well to the theme of Connection & Insight.
Guests were able to learn how to traditionally make Turkish coffee by Melih, using fine grind Arabica coffee in a small pot called a cezve. Once each guest had completed their coffee, they flipped their cup upside-down to see the patterns created by the coffee grounds (known as fal), which Melih then interpreted to create a casual social space for laughter, questioning and conversation among guests and ultimately a cosy atmosphere for guests to interact with one another throughout the afternoon.

Flexible and Scalable Business Systems
In the enterprise leadership, the conversation covered how AI gateways and federated API management are creating a new paradigm of business and running digital operations. With many organisations transitioning to cloud-based solutions, there needs to be smarter methods of connecting data, managing APIs, and automating day-to-day processes.
AI gateways allow for more efficient communication between AI models and various applications, and therefore enable organisations to process information at an accelerated rate, while enabling them to operate more effectively. Additionally, Federated API Management enables organisations to have a single interface to manage all of their APIs, regardless of whether they utilise multiple cloud platforms. Overall, the combination of AI gateways and federated API management provides organisations with a flexible, secure and scalable foundation for growth going forward.
Scaling Systems Across Teams and Platforms
Participants at the roundtable engaged in conversation as to how AI and APIs could be used to enhance the speed, safety and dependability of business systems. The roundtable participants also addressed the use of tools such as real-time monitoring, predictive analytics and adaptive access controls to increase the dependability and speed of business systems.
All parties participating in the roundtable agreed that while technology is a necessary component to successful implementation of new business systems, strong team collaboration, effective strategic partnerships planning and good management are required to successfully implement scalable systems across multiple teams and platforms. The roundtable discussion clearly illustrated that both AI and APIs are evolving from being merely technical tools to becoming an integral component of how businesses will operate and remain competitive in the future.
