GLOBAL, February to November 2022 — Hosted by Dataminr and The Ortus Club, this global series brought together senior executives from six countries to explore how artificial intelligence and real-time data are transforming enterprise resilience.
Over seven months, twenty-three exclusive roundtables and masterclasses gathered more than three hundred senior business leaders from some of the world’s most recognised organisations. Each session became a platform for open discussion on how technology, collaboration, and human judgement can help businesses anticipate and manage risk before it escalates.
Turning Insight into Preparedness
Dataminr, a global leader in real-time artificial intelligence (AI) and risk intelligence, set out to demonstrate how timely and actionable information can help organisations respond effectively to a fast-changing world. The aim was to engage decision-makers in meaningful conversation rather than self-promotion.
Partnering with The Ortus Club, Dataminr sought to reach senior leaders overseeing risk, resilience, and security. The shared objective was to foster genuine dialogue on proactive risk management and to position Dataminr as a trusted ally, helping organisations anticipate challenges and build confidence in uncertain times.
A Global Exchange of Ideas
Spanning from February to November 2022, the series combined in-person roundtables with virtual masterclasses, connecting leaders from Auckland, Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, and London.
Each venue was chosen for its distinct atmosphere and exclusivity, from the skyline views of Vue de Monde in Melbourne to the understated elegance of the Corinthia London. Every event was designed to encourage open, constructive discussion in an environment that balanced warmth with focus.
The virtual sessions reflected the same spirit. Smaller, curated groups and guided moderation created candid, energetic exchanges that brought together leaders across borders and time zones.

Leaders of Global Risk and Security
More than three hundred senior executives took part in the Dataminr series, representing sectors such as finance, retail, logistics, energy, healthcare, and media.
Participants included Chief Risk Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, Global Heads of Business Resilience, and Directors of Corporate Security from organisations including Wells Fargo, the Bank of New Zealand, Formula 1, McDonald’s, PepsiCo, and Walmart.
The diverse mix of perspectives enriched the dialogue. Each discussion highlighted how cross-sector collaboration can strengthen enterprise resilience in a constantly shifting global landscape.
Guiding Insight and Expertise
Each session was led by expert moderators and industry practitioners who brought credibility and practical insight to the conversation.
Among the speakers were the Chief Information Security Officer of Saudi Digital Bank, the Founder of ResilienC, and the Global Head of Conduct Financial Crime Compliance and Wealth Management at Standard Chartered Bank. Their experience across cybersecurity, compliance, and crisis management grounded the discussions in real-world application and tangible outcomes.
Harnessing Real-Time Intelligence to Build Resilient Enterprises with Dataminr
At the centre of the series was a key question: how can organisations strengthen resilience in an age of constant disruption?
Conversations explored converged security, duty of care, and the growing importance of real-time intelligence. Participants examined how data and AI can help businesses detect, manage, and prevent crises before they occur.
They also reflected on how leadership can ensure that technology complements rather than replaces human decision-making, maintaining balance between innovation and sound judgement.
“A truly enjoyable and insightful evening. Thank you to Dataminr and The Ortus Club for organising the event.”
Ryan Kirk, Head of Clouds & DevOps
From Reaction to Prevention
Across both in-person and virtual sessions, a common theme emerged: resilience begins with awareness.
Many participants noted that their organisations still tend to react to risks instead of anticipating them. They agreed that real-time intelligence enables a shift from reaction to prevention, giving teams the agility to act faster and collaborate more effectively when challenges arise.
Others emphasised that technology alone cannot ensure preparedness. True resilience, they said, depends on organisational culture, shared accountability, and empowering people across all levels to respond confidently and cohesively when faced with risk.
A Global Dialogue on Enterprise Risk
The Dataminr Executive Series established the company as a thought leader in AI-driven risk intelligence and opened meaningful conversations with global enterprises seeking to modernise their approach to security.
Participants praised both the relevance of the discussions and the opportunity to connect with peers who face similar challenges:
“A wonderful supper event of meeting industry experts discussing the latest trends, analysis and security concerns facing most global companies and professionals.”
– Strategic Global Security Adviser, Formula 1
“It was fantastic to learn from such different experiences and yet so many conversion points between us.”
– Digital Innovation Director, Público
Following its success, Dataminr and The Ortus Club continue to collaborate, expanding their reach across EMEA and the United States in 2023.
