Building for Resilience: Shaping the Future of Construction

As the construction industry adopts energy-efficient materials and sustainable practices, it aligns with the International Energy Agency’s Net Zero Emissions by 2050 scenario, targeting zero-carbon standards for new and existing buildings. The industry’s commitment is evident as stakeholders prioritize renewable energy, resource conservation, and pursue green building certifications.

In response to extreme weather and environmental challenges, cities are increasingly incentivizing resilient building practices. Despite potential market uncertainties and supply chain disruptions, significant federal investments in advanced manufacturing and clean energy technologies drive robust growth in the nonresidential sector. Looking ahead, the adoption of digitalization and technologies like generative AI and digital twins shapes the industry’s response to evolving demands, promising to redefine standards and enhance long-term viability in a changing global landscape.

  • How do current technological and regulatory barriers impact the construction industry’s ability to meet global sustainability targets?
  • In what ways can digital transformation drive sustainability and resilience in the construction sector?
  • What are the potential impacts of evolving global regulations on the strategic direction of the construction industry?

Join leaders interested in pioneering sustainable construction practices and harnessing innovative technologies to build the resilient infrastructures of tomorrow.
