Cross-border data protection

Registration is no longer possible.

Wednesday, October 26th, 11:00 PDT

Data and Security Leaders in San Francisco are invited to join this roundtable luncheon on “Cross-border data protection”.

An expert moderator will guide the knowledge-sharing event, stimulating discussion between participants in a closed, confidential environment. Attendance is by invitation only and complimentary.

Cross-border data protection

Sensitive data exists all over an enterprise—in various places, form factors, and application stacks across numerous territories and legal entities. Application teams are expected to meet growing cross-border, privacy, and regulatory requirements while still operating at the global enterprise level while lacking the tools or skills to meet them. Left unmanaged, these individual teams can tend to move and share sensitive data by means of their own construction, resulting in siloed solutions that add risk and cost to the enterprise.

In many cases, the cost of doing nothing is perceived to be less than the cost of innovating. Unfortunately, this can significantly limit new business opportunities and innovation, especially in cross-border and third-party environments. The result is a lack of oversight and control over sensitive data, limiting compliance, increasing risk, and slowing innovation across the enterprise.

  • What hurdles do companies face in transitioning from legacy systems to more innovation-oriented technologies?
  • How are companies reskilling and upscaling their app development teams to meet growing requirements?
  • What are organisations doing to gain further control over the sensitive data they manage in terms of security, compliance, and utilisation?
