Driving sustained success and satisfaction through a service model

Businesses are increasingly transitioning to a service model, providing their clientele with long-term support instead of one-off products. This has led to an increase in customer-facing billable projects. Coupled with an ever-tightening labor pool, resource management has risen as a strategic function to get the right person with the right skills in place at the right time to deliver on company and customer expectations.

Recent research by Forrester indicates four priorities for improvement in project operations: resource utilization optimization, greater collaboration, enhanced reporting and analytics, and increased business agility and operational excellence. While the keys to success are clear to leaders, the attainment of these goals is a task too tall for the under-equipped.

  • How do organizations plan for resource capability and capacity? What challenges do Project Managers have resourcing projects?
  • What can companies do to drive greater collaboration amongst project and resource managers?
  • How are leaders supporting resources, career goals, and next assignment?
