Finance of tomorrow: Navigating the age of accelerated automation

As the role of finance leaders transitions into more of an advisory position, the need to automate and optimize processes grows by the minute. A recent survey of more than 200 CFOs and finance leaders indicated that automation is high on executives’ priority lists, but much work is yet to be done. Of those surveyed, 91% say that less than 75% of their processes have been automated.

Companies are greatly increasing their investments in technology geared toward automation and forecasting as they should be. But, this is only one piece of the puzzle. Executive buy-in, skilled staff, and an intelligently constructed strategy and timeline are all equally vital to sustained success with technology.

  • How has the finance function evolved in the past two years? What have been the challenges and opportunities?
  • What are the best approaches to integrating AI and machine learning into finance workflows?
  • How can finance leaders build teams centered around technology and data? How can they effectively train, scale, and upskill?
