From information to innovation: A new reality for chief executives

For years, CIOs have been defined as Chief Information Officers. With the shift from on-premises to cloud, the push of low-code digital tools, and the myriad business variables introduced with the pandemic, countless have transitioned to Chief Innovation Officers. Some may consider this as a LinkedIn “give yourself your own title” fad. However, the name signifies a change in approach.

Organizations worldwide are addressing the reality of what the shift means for CIOs and their teams. There is now an increased focus on business challenges that require leadership and innovative thinking, especially considering the “new normal” of a post-pandemic world.

  • Are hybrid workers and citizen developers catalysts or barriers to productivity?
  • What strategies have companies developed to create resilience amidst constant change?
  • How do leaders engage in innovation? What configurations are being made to their teams?
