Mitigating cross-border risks: Reinforcing data protection solutions

Sensitive data exists all over an enterprise—in various places, form factors, and application stacks across numerous territories and legal entities. Application teams are expected to meet growing cross-border, privacy, and regulatory requirements while still operating at the global enterprise level, despite lacking the tools or skills to meet them. Left unmanaged, these individual teams risk moving and sharing sensitive data, resulting in siloed solutions that can adversely affect the enterprise.

In many cases, the cost of doing nothing is perceived to be less than the cost of innovating. Unfortunately, this can significantly limit new business opportunities and innovation, especially in cross-border and third-party environments. The result is a lack of oversight and control over sensitive data, thus limiting compliance, increasing risk, and slowing innovation across the enterprise.

  • What are the challenges in transitioning from legacy systems to more innovative technologies?
  • How are businesses reskilling and upscaling their app development teams to meet growing requirements?
  • What steps are organisations taking in managing sensitive data more effectively in terms of security, compliance, and utilisation?
