Open Data: Modernising data management for transparency and accountability

As the world calls for greater transparency, accountability, and value creation, governments and healthcare institutions increasingly make their data available to all. This ‘Open Data’ philosophy and subsequent measures are reshaping the landscape—perhaps for good.

By making their data accessible, governments and healthcare organisations become more transparent and accountable. In addition, using, reusing, and distributing information freely promotes business creation and innovative, personalised services. But are legacy systems prepared for the shift?

  • What challenges do organisations encounter when accessing and consuming new data sources?
  • How can leaders promote new data-driven interactions across their organisations?
  • What impact will public access to organisational data have on the industry’s future?

The Ortus Club hosts knowledge-sharing discussions in the best private dining rooms in the world. These venues provide an elegant high-end atmosphere and impeccable table service.

Attended by leaders interested in exploring how Open Data allows agencies to access and consume new data sources and promote new data-driven interactions. As most legacy systems today were designed around batch processes, Open Data demands a more resilient system with faster data availability.

Participants will also have an opportunity to understand how Open Data helps agencies collaborate with the public by giving citizens and businesses access to data and interactive visualisations in public portals.

Job titles may include Chief Data Officer, Chief Information Officer, Head of Data Analytics, IT Director, and other business decision-makers in Digital Offices (Transformation).
