Orchestrating success: Maximising value across the software delivery stack

Have businesses hit a point where their automation efficiencies are beginning to decline? Timely and precise release planning is gaining importance. By taking a 360-degree look at the complete automation and software delivery stack, companies can finally measure the full value of the automation tools they’ve invested in.

Ultimately, companies cannot improve what they cannot measure, and they cannot measure what they are not willing to orchestrate. These independent automation processes must be orchestrated across all teams in order to accomplish goals and give customer value, and real-time transparency is critical for effective release orchestration.

  • What hinders organisations from enabling a more transparent software delivery stack?
  • How can a more holistic view improve existing workflows?
  • What strategies and technologies are shaping the future of release orchestration?

Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer | CloudBees

Sacha Labourey is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at CloudBees, the enterprise software delivery company. Sacha has been an active leader in open source software for twenty years. He was a core contributor to Marc Fleury’s JBoss project, implementing its original clustering features. When JBoss became a business, he founded JBoss’ European headquarters in 2003 and served as GM for Europe and then CTO. Red Hat acquired JBoss in 2006, making Sacha GM of their middleware division.

Sacha established the CloudBees work-anywhere approach from the start, a decade before most companies were forced to make the leap. He works from Neuchâtel, Switzerland where he lives with his wife, daughter, and two cats. It was from Neuchâtel that he co-founded CloudBees with François Déchery in 2010.
