Securing assets and employees: Expanding Zero Trust with email security

In today’s digital and distributed workplace, phishing, business email compromise (BEC), and other targeted email attacks remain more frequent and dangerous than ever. According to the latest reports from the FBI, reported BEC losses have now surpassed $43B, and the agency received ~320,000 complaints on phishing and related attacks in 2021, a 35% increase from 2020 numbers and nearly triple 2019’s.

Targeted email attacks continue to evade existing email security controls and exploit trusted relationships to remain undetected. Moving forward, companies must prioritize securing assets and employees, regardless of where either is located, as teams and operations become increasingly distributed.

  • What are the latest trends in phishing, BEC, and other targeted email attacks? How can companies combat these threats?
  • How do email attacks get past existing email security controls by exploiting trust? Where are the gaps, and how can companies fill them?
  • How is email security a critical part of Zero Trust security posture? How can this be effectively adopted?
