Virtual Roundtable
The evolution of the CIO to the Chief Innovation Officer
For many organisations, the pandemic has accelerated the shift to a digital-first mindset. However, in the midst of such change, business leaders and in particular, CIOs have faced several new challenges.
Over the past year, technology executives have had to enable business modernisation and, at the same time, ensure business continuity. The adoption of new tools, learning of new processes, and managing hybrid workforces are just some of the challenges encountered by IT leaders over the past year. Yet, with all the sudden change and increased investment in technology, the role of the CIO has itself undergone an evolution from what was once an operational role concerning information management to a transformational role of innovator in top management.
- What are the top IT challenges currently faced by businesses?
- How has the role of the CIO changed since the beginning of the pandemic?
- How do IT leaders balance their existing mandates with the new demands that have been placed upon them?
