Meet Pom Nolasco, Operations

Assistant Team Lead

Pom Nolasco

With extensive experience in project management under his belt, Pom Nolasco successfully learned the ropes in his role at The Ortus Club. After having gained enough first-hand knowledge of the processes undertaken by the Operations Department, he’s passed on these valuable insights and expertise to the project directors under his wing, thus fostering a more collaborative environment in the department.

What makes you the best at what you do? What values drive you to perform even better?

As a professional, I’ve always strived towards exemplifying perseverance. I firmly believe that tenacity in getting the job done and moving forward, no matter how demotivating circumstances may become, is the finest mindset anyone can have in whatever they do. There have been times when things didn’t pan out the way I hoped, but, in those trying moments, I remained faithful to how there will always be light at the end of the tunnel.

My experience in project management has also aided me in my success. With this experience, I’ve been able to understand all the ins and outs of the projects assigned to me and acquaint myself sufficiently with the processes I undertake in my role in The Ortus Club.

What challenges have you proudly overcome in such a fast-paced working environment?

Adapting to the different processes and figuring out how to tackle our tasks efficiently are the two greatest challenges I’ve overcome. Unwavering determination has always been the crucial force that’s driven me to get the job done here at The Ortus Club. I would, however, be remiss to acknowledge—and appreciate—the reasonably gradual learning curve from which we benefit in the company.

The timelines we set to understand and undertake our responsibilities may not be static, but, just like everyone else here, I’ve managed to maximise the dynamism in our processes and have thrived in my role thus far.

What knowledge can you share with the charisma and confidence of a lifelong expert?

Things may seem impossible at first, but they don’t really feel that way once you realise that you have the tools and support system you need to move forward. It’s natural to feel stuck—and, in a lot of cases, it’s the easier thing to feel. This is why we must always put our best foot forward so that we can make things happen and achieve the results we desire.

‘It’s natural to feel stuck, which is why we must always put our best foot forward so that we can make things happen and achieve the results we desire.’

Why do you stay with the company? What would you tell someone interested in joining?

In a nutshell, The Ortus Club has become home to me. I owe both my professional and personal growth to the company and my many esteemed colleagues, with whom I’ve experienced many new things. I’ve learned from these amazing individuals a whole host of values that have transformed me into the person who I am today.

People who strive to thrive in their professional and personal lives should seriously consider joining The Ortus Club, where knowledge and experiences abound—especially for those who are up to the challenge.

What do you think the future holds for The Ortus Club? What role will you play in realising that vision?

Big things are shaping up for The Ortus Club as we continue flourishing exponentially and tirelessly, particularly, in my case, in the projects we undertake in the Operations Department, where we’ve made great strides as far as our numbers go.

As an Assistant Team Lead and Senior Project Director, I play a pivotal role in the growth of the project directors under my wing. Their success in their respective projects and in their development, both as exceptional guesting directors and members of The Ortus Club, are what I strive to contribute to significantly.

Collaborative effort is the very core of the growth we’ve been experiencing, and I’ve taken it upon myself to realise the success we all desire to achieve.
