THE TOPIC

The Challenges of Traditional Software Development

Traditional methods of developing software have some drawbacks as well. Developing software for a business is a time-consuming process and can take an extremely long time to develop for rapidly growing companies. In many cases, a company’s own IT team builds the software which the company needs, but in many cases, the result may not meet the user requirements.

Using no-code development as a possible alternative offers solutions to the problems of developing software using traditional methods is a sign of IT advancement. The use of no-code platforms offers drag-and-drop functionality, allowing the development of applications by individuals who are not skilled developers.

By assisting the non-technical employees through their company’s IT department, they can develop the tools needed for them to perform their jobs. The no-code platforms allow companies to reduce the amount of time it takes to develop their software, reduce errors when developing their software, and increase the likelihood that the developed software will meet the company’s objectives.

THE INSIGHTS

No-Code and the Future of Business Efficiency

The attendees agreed that no-code platforms are changing how companies operate by allowing non-technical employees to build applications themselves using no-code technologies; however, they noted that to ensure company data safety, IT teams still want to be involved in each application development stage as a guide for employees.

The attendees reported that many of the leaders believe no-code technology will be combined with artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in the future, which will allow them to create even more innovative solutions and ideas at an accelerated rate than they do today, is an IT advancement.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Accessible to All: Employees who have no experience or knowledge of programming will still be able to develop their own apps.
  • Speedier Results: Applications are developed and improved upon at a faster rate than traditional applications.

  • Improved Collaboration: The IT department and the business team can collaborate on developing the application as well as communicating better.
  • A New Wave of Development Potential: When combined with Artificial Intelligence (AI), this type of development will revolutionise how companies build software for many years to come.
