Rising from Guesting Director to Head of Kosovo and Performance, Driton’s journey has provided him with comprehensive insights into the company’s operations. His focus on consistency and performance excellence continues to strengthen The Ortus Club’s position in events marketing, while his adaptability to industry changes helps drive the company’s innovation in an evolving landscape.
Tell us about your role at The Ortus Club and how you got there.
My current role is the Head of Performance for the West and also the Head of the Kosovo office. It has been a rollercoaster ride to get here; I started as a Guesting Director and then moved to a Team Lead. Then, I became the Head of Kosovo and then added the Head of Performance to the role. It has been a step-by-step ladder to climb that has allowed me to see every aspect of our processes. This 360-degree view of working with our internal and external teams is especially helpful in my role of making sure that everyone, including the team and our clients, feels supported, efficient, and effective.
What makes you the best at what you do? What values drive you to perform even better?
I have a lot of experience in dealing with projects. When I was a team lead, I took great pride in that my team was the force that pulled the most load when it came to handling projects. With that came a lot of experience with various clients and different styles of managing events.
That same experience led me to know projects inside out and how to perform at their best. Hence, I was given the position of Head of Performance to keep everyone up to speed and ensure that everyone is meeting every event’s and our clients’ needs. My push to do better and better each year is to look back at the processes to see how much we have changed as a company and envision where we can be in five years.
What’s the most challenging part of your role, and how do you overcome this challenge?
It is always challenging to find the right people for the right job, and we are constantly looking for talented individuals fit for the role as well as the team. Once you find those people, it is very easy to keep them up to date with processes so that they can deliver the best results for every client and attendee all the time.

Of the 30 people who started in Kosovo, over 20 are celebrating their second anniversary with The Ortus Club. That means we are doing something right.
What makes your role special? What difference does your role make in the marketing world?
The marketing world is very vague, yet events marketing remains the cream of the industry. It is the most tailored, precise, and exclusive tier of marketing. It takes a lot of preparation to deliver something as amazing as we are doing here at The Ortus Club. My impact on ensuring we maintain our level of expertise in this industry is maintaining consistency throughout. We keep people at the right performance level all the time so that we deliver great events all the time.
What do you think the future holds for The Ortus Club? What role will you play towards it?
It is very important to remember the big picture at all times. With the evolution of tools and processes and the new trends, the events marketing industry is a very dynamic existence. One day, you are dealing with an unresponsive contact; the other, you’re using AI to navigate complex situations; maybe in a few years, we’ll just take the calls, and we will not have to touch the laptop at all! The future of this industry is very intriguing and mysterious as well. The Ortus Club will have to innovate and see more changes to lead the trends, but one thing is for sure: we look out for our team, guests, and clients, and we will always strive to do the best for them.
